PEACE AND REST

Though The Day Is Long,
And My Body Weak,
God, make me strong,
For Your Heart I seek.

I know how soft your couch may be, or how squishy your bed is, but make God your comfort and place to rest. You will NEVER go back.

In His lap, lay all your troubles.
In his arms rest your head.
Your life, a blank canvas,
A spirit to be lead.

I could NEVER truly express my honor and love for all of you who have served.
Those who lived and died for the cause of Liberty.

No freedom can ever come without a sacrifice. Jesus showed that for our Salvation, and you are for our freedom.

God almighty give your word,
and bless these soldier's fight.
Make their enemies a footstool, Lord.
Strike them with your might!

Hair Trim

What do you feel when God convicts or prompts you?

I don't know about you, but a lot of times when God prompts me to witness to someone, I'm constantly making excuses."God, I'm too young,"  "I'm too weird,"  "It's awkward," "I'm in the check-out line!" They all revert back to lies.

A few weeks ago, my mom and I went to a salon to get a Hair Trim.
We went inside and waited, and I read some magazines. I was called back to a room filled with other salon ladies. (I don't know what they're called, Barberess'?) Anyway, I sat down in the chair and my mom sat in another chair right at the next station.
STOP!
I know what you're thinking. I know what's tick'n in those little brains of yours.
"This story is boring. When does it end?!?!"
DO NOT worry! I am going somewhere.

PROCEED!
As The "Barberess" swooped and placed the backwards cape thingy on me, the Lord started to prompt me to witness to her. And I was like, "Oh, Lord. Do not make me witness to her!!!"
Still the Lord continued to prompt me. "God, I'm not qualified to talk to her! My mother is sitting right there, it's just too awkward!" As I was making these excuses, my mom said, "Honey, daddy's calling me, I need to step outside. I'll be right back." I'm like, "IT'S A SIGN!!! IT'S A SIGN!!!"
So I started asking her if she went to church anywhere, and she said that she belonged to a baptist church, but she never went. My brain started to roll, and I started asking questions and answering a few, and I told her about my family's ministry. She seemed interested, and wrote down our website!
(By the way, if you're wondering, she did pretty well with my hair. ;)
Who knows, that girl, might have been going thru a rough time, and wasn't trusting in the Lord.
Maybe if I didn't speak, she would've gone down the wrong path?
Satan is so crafty. He uses The LIES that we believe to hinder us from doing God's work.

The other day, my sister was going to clean out a chicken coop, and she had to get the chickens out. When she let them out, to her surprise, they ran right back into the cage! Why didn't they make a run for it? She thought.
It's like us and our LIES. A lot of times our LIES become our comforts. Like the chickens, when we get the freedom to leave our cage of deceit, we run right back and get trapped again.
How can we change that?

HERE ARE SOME WAYS TO CONQUER THE LIES THAT WE BELIEVE:

1. Expose the LIE/LIES. Sin is like a weed. When kept in the dark and hidden, it grows and roots itself deep within you. But, when brought into the intense sun, it withers and dies.

2. Scripture Combat! Take each LIE you've discovered, and look up scripture to weigh it in the scale of truth, and if it comes out 2 lbs short, then POW! into it's Patookas!

3. Write an Identity statement.
If your lie was, I'm Ugly, Dumb, and Everyone Hates me. Your IDENTITY STATEMENT would be... My Name is _________ I'm a beautiful woman/man of God, I'm smart in my own way, and even if the world comes crashing down, God still adores me!

 4. Find an accountability partner. When you have lies creeping into you, an accountability partner can help you to fight them off. And you'll both be like ninja's who haven't had their coffee yet.

Boldness is a great thing.
But no Boldness ever came without a reason.

INSPIRATION.

What, or Who inspires you?

A good friend once wrote me,
"Keep pressing on in the Faith!
The Lord has great things in store for you, as you continue to seek Him."

That inspired me so much, that I set it as the background on my computer, and memorized it!
Inspiration: to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence

When you've acknowledged who, or what inspires you, think of who you can become!
How can you Inspire others? How can you make them strive for what you have in Jesus Christ?
I like using the analogy,
"Inspiring someone, is like giving them a bite of Ice-cream, then walking away."
That means, when you're trying to Inspire someone, you're not just pushing the idea in their face. But, when you give a little bit at a time, you make them desire it.

I'd love to here your stories!
And who knows, maybe I'll use yours in an EOTM!!!

AN ANALOGY

I'm Attractive, I'm tasty, come eat and you'll see...
That the flaw in your being is caused by me.
My mask is clever, though you'll long for me again.
I break families and cause heart ache.

...I AM SIN

JULY

JULY, here we are.
Time for the EOTM (Encouragement Of The Month)

BOLDNESS
BOLDNESS is passed on from generation to generation.
The BOLDNESS of the Disciples, is what shaped Christianity.
The BOLDNESS of our forefathers, is what shaped America.
But, it's what our generation does with it, that will shape the future.

Once upon a time, there lived a woman, who lived in an out of way home in Central America.
This home was made out of logs, mud, and straw. The kitchen and the front porch where combined, and the whole house, was one room. She was beautiful. Her black hair was tied up, and she wore a black dress. Her skin was coffee brown, and her when she spoke, it was as if she were an angel.
Now, this woman, was a Christian. But her husband was not. He was an abusive evil man!
There was a missions team who came to her and brought her children toys and food, while her husband was away. A young missionary, who didn't know that she was a Christian, started to witness to her, through the translation of her friend.
The woman explained her situation, to them, and told the missionary something that shocked her immensely. The woman who's house, was a wreck, and who's spouse beats her, said she wouldn't leave her husband. She said that she wanted to win him to Christ, and she was determined.
The determination of that woman, Imbedded itself into that young missionary's heart. And she said to herself, “That's BOLDNESS!”
What would you have done in her situation? I don't know about you, but I would've left my husband in a flash. And I'm not proud of that.

Every time I think of that woman, I think of BOLDNESS.
I think of Determination. Real Determination!

I find the lack of determination in America sad.
Schools, Restaurants, Work. We've lost our Liberty. We've lost our BOLDNESS.

The Declaration Of Independence.

BOLDNESS doesn't have to be spoken, it can be written.
The way our country was established, and discovered, was by Liberty.
Liberty. No Liberty comes without BOLDNESS.
One must be BOLD, to ask for freedom, and to fight for it.

In The Middle of Difficulty, lies Opportunity.
